Nonwovens save life.

Due to a substantial need, Jakob Härdi AG set about improving sleeping bag technology. With a mixture of thermoactive fibres, we created a thermo nonwoven material which insulates perfectly without causing an accumulation of heat. The sleeping temperature remains constant and makes for a feel-good zone. The high elasticity ensures that the material is lightweight and does not take up much space when rolled up. The product was tested in a “cold chamber” with temperatures as low as minus 40 degrees. This resulted in this special nonwoven being able to help people survive in icy environments. A further advantage is its elasticity: the special nonwoven ensures a very small pack-size with an extremely low weight and the sleeping bag can be unpacked in just seconds.
